JOB OPPORTUNITY
POSITION : Moulding Process Technician
PAY : $33.50 / hour starting wage (+ $1.00 / hour premium for Continental night shifts)
SHIFT : Rotating 12-hour shifts – 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM and 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM (rotates every 2 weeks)
LOCATION : Belleville, Ontario
REPORTING TO : Process Engineering Supervisor
POSITION PROFILE :
The successful candidate(s) will be part of a team responsible for the day-to-day manufacturing of moulded products. This position also supports the online setup, optimization, and maintenance of moulding equipment to meet production and quality objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Provide ongoing technical support and continuous improvement for injection moulding machines and related equipment.
- Support new program launches, including process development and validation.
- Track and report on scrap reduction and cycle time savings initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on PFMEAs and control plans.
- Implement error-proofing and detection systems to ensure product quality.
- Conduct audits and identify improvement opportunities in moulding processes.
- Ensure adherence to baseline process parameters via daily audits.
- Provide troubleshooting support to minimize downtime.
- Perform root cause analysis on moulding quality issues.
- Promote and drive continuous improvement within the department.
- Optimize equipment and process capacity to maximize performance.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent (preferred)Valid driver’s license (preferred)Relevant experience in a process / moulding technical role or a diploma in engineering (preferred)Automotive manufacturing experience is an assetCORE COMPETENCIES :
