Job description :
Reporting directly to the foreman, the Press Brake Operator must be able to perform all operations involved in the transformation of materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminum or other metals, according to customer drawings and requirements.
Role and responsibilities :
- To be able to perform metal forming operations on machines such as digital press brakes, vertical and horizontal band saws, forming rolls, shears, drills, etc.
- Be able to do series production on machining centers as needed.
- Read work instructions and interpret sketches.
- Inspect and identify materials to be used.
- Organize workstation.
- Trace and measure workpieces.
- Select required equipment.
- Carry out visual and dimensional inspection of parts.
- Complete inspection sheets.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
- Use grinders, sanders and other tools to prepare, grind, clean and deburr parts.
- Use lifting equipment.
- Maintain a clean work environment on a daily basis.
- Apply health and safety rules in the workplace.
- Wear safety goggles, safety boots, plugs or ear muffs, as well as any other equipment required for specific tasks.
- Inform foreman of all problems, defects and non-conformities.
- Ensures continuous improvement of processes and takes steps to increase efficiency.
- Contribute, through his / her attitude, to creating a work climate conducive to teamwork.
- Carry out any other tasks related to his / her function or assigned by the immediate superior.
Skills and qualifications :
- Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in sheet metal work
- Bilingualism an asset
- Good dexterity and speed
- Conscientious, concerned with quality and detail
- Good observation skills
- Self-starter

- Team player
Day shift Monday to Thursday 6 : 30 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m. and Friday 6 : 30 a.m. to 12 : 30 p.m.
