Material Handling Logistics – Transportation Optimization Analyst (TESYS)
2025 Summer Student
Job Responsibilities :
Adhere to and fulfill all employee responsbilities set out in the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Health & Safety Policy / Program.
Support the optimization of our TESYS system, which coordinates the movement of materials throughout the plant.
Participate in development and implementation of the GPS reporting and optimization functions within the intra-plant transportation management system.
Develop strategies and system enhancements in a team environment.
Perform daily monitoring of transportation processes and propose solutions for improvement.
Manage, analyze and provide solutions to data storage and retrieval problems to drive efficiencies in the transportation process.
Support department goals and objectives.
Work in an office environment with some plant exposure.
Must be available to work full time from May 2025 to end of August 2025.
Education & Experience :
Currently attending university or college full-time and returning to school full-time in September 2025
Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering, Math or Computer Sciences program.
Civil Engineering or Logistics and Supply Chain Management would be an asset.
Good understanding of geospatial coordinate systems.
Strong technical background.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivated, team player.
Detail oriented.
Experience in Excel, VBA and SQL, MSBI environment (SharePoint) is an asset.
Experience in report and query development.
Hours of Work : 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday.
