What you can expect from this position :
Reporting to the Director Airline Relations & Development, the Manager, Airline Commercial Performance will be focused on gathering insights and intelligence on the near-term performance of incumbent and prospect air carrier activity and work with airline management to understand how the GTAA might be able to accelerate their full potential at Toronto Pearson. This role will guide and formulate insights to senior leadership to better inform various key decision-making groups of the GTAA.
As Manager, Airline Commercial Performance, you will :
- Design, analyze and maintain key leading and lagging airline performance metrics (pricing, fare, capacity, passenger profiles, etc.) to support our company goals to meet revenue and passenger volume targets
- Evaluate current trends in market conditions using information available through and from various sources, including passenger databases, market intelligence reports relative to competitor activities, political / economic trends and industry developments
- Conduct data analysis to identify passenger profile, segmentation, connectivity and booking behaviour to optimize inventory and improving revenue
- Support various airline partnership programs through the analysis of key commercial data that help inform the business while supporting the mutual success metrics of our air carriers
- Create cases that identify and support the adjustment of airline capacity (seats, frequencies, gauge, etc.) based on key performance indicators, with proactive tactical measures
- Counsel, provide guidance and present to internal partners with possible changes to our passenger forecast on near term basis
- Be accountable to create and distribute demand, capacity and revenue reports and other performance reports to senior and executive leadership
- Bring forward to senior management of airlines respective routes where potential revenue increase can be adopted and suggest strategies
- Work cross-departmentally on data-driven strategies that improve processes and decision-making for the unit’s air service development and airline relationship teams
- Lead people by providing coaching, guidance and development by providing feedback for personal and career growth
