Service & Installation Technician – Durham Region

Due to continued growth, we are hiring Service & Installation Technicians to support installation, service, and maintenance operations across the Durham region

Standard hours :
Mon–Thurs : 7 : 00am–4 : 00pm
Fri : 7 : 00am–3 : 00pm
44 hours / week + OT after 44
What You’ll Do : Service & Installation Technician
As a Service & Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining industrial door and dock systems while working independently or as part of a field team.
Key Responsibilities :
Install, service, and repair industrial door and dock equipment including sectional doors, rolling doors, dock levelers, fire doors (including drop testing), impact doors, and vehicle restraints.
Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues in the field.
Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls as required.
Complete accurate service reports, time tracking, and job documentation.
Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and job-site organization.
Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
Follow and uphold all safety standards, procedures, and policies.
This role includes a mix of local and occasional out-of-town work (including northern or remote areas). All travel expenses, LOA, and hotel accommodations are covered. Overtime opportunities are available, including a $2.00 / hr premium during remote assignments.
What You Bring : Service & Installation Technician
3–5+ years of hands-on experience installing and servicing industrial door and dock systems (rolling, sectional, high-speed, or similar).
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Welding and / or electrical experience is considered an asset.
Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract; willingness to travel when required.
Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to pass a background check.
