About the Role :
The RTO will coordinate the team members on the production line for production execution during the shift and ensure productive factors availability (raw materials, packaging, and people) following UGP Manager guidelines. We are currently looking for three production supervisors.
We will also be starting, Rocher Squares, which is an exciting brand-new product for Ferrero, the UGP will consist of preparation, moulding and packaging areas and will employ up to 200 people! As the first RTO for this line, you’ll be on the ground floor of this exciting venture! You will play a key role in the successful start up and ongoing production of our newest product Rocher Squares. You will support the UGP Manager in assembling a talented team, following the installation, testing and start up of the new lines!
Shift Flexibility : Due to multiple positions opening up, we have a couple differant shift options. One of the potential shifts will be; a continental shift - 2 weeks on days, 2 weeks on nights, and then you will rotate. Production will ramp up over several months and will eventually run a rotating 3 shift 8-hour schedule. You must be available to work a variety of shifts as the shift schedules are subject to change.
Resource Availability
- Ensures the availability of packaging, semi-finished product and raw materials for the shift
- Manages and resolves availability issues related to packaging, semi-finished product and raw materials
- Prepares picking list for raw materials and semi-finished products
- Support the AG in the monthly inventory adjustment,
- Ensures left over items (finished, semi-finished, bulk, raw materials) are returned to warehouse at the end of the week
Production Planning / Shift Handover
Supports the planning of the operating activities on the lines within his area of competencePrints the production programs and the production models and completes all the necessary actions shared with the UGP Manager for the production program executionSupports the Local Planning Department and the Team leaders for the in process changes of quantity to produceSupervises and changeover activities, together with the Quality Department and Packaging Component ProvidersIn conjunction with Team Leaders and Maintenance, participates in and supports the equipment start up of the line of his area of competenceVerify and inspects cleaning activities completed by Operators and Team LeadersCompletes all shift handover responsibilities, supporting Team leader in communicating main information and issuesSupervises and collects data from Team Leaders in order to update Production system (SAP for line hours, manpower, waste and recyclables)Approves and submits all shift reports and shift end production declarationContinuous Improvement
Identifies and proposes continuous improvement initiatives and improvement areasCollaborates with the UGP Manager and SSP Function in the development and application of Continuous Improvement initiativesMain Responsibilities :
Safety and Hygiene
Responsible for the hygiene and sanitation compliance of the production area;Supports periodic scheduling of sanitation measures to rearrange work areas and disinfect equipment and tools.Collaborates with Quality Department and Team Leader in supporting and supervising auto-control activitiesResponsible for working within the guidelines of all applicable aspects of food safety program (ISO, HACCP, GMP) and ensuring complianceTastes and evaluates productsEnsure all program requirements / standards regarding quality and food safety are implemented, practiced and maintainedWorkplace Safety
Ensures compliance with health & safety regulations not limited to and including the assigned production area;Completes health & safety incident / accident reporting;Participates in internal safety audits and is the production reference during internal / external quality and safety auditsEnsures the monthly safety talks are done with workersHuman Resources Management
Responsible for the accurate allocation of employees on the lines (absence and availability verification, team composition, cross-lines and cross departments movement)Support the UGP Manager in the management of absenteeism and documentation due to scheduled vacations and unscheduled illnesses to ensure proper coverage;Prepares the employee performance review and collaborate with the UGP Manager when requiredManages workplace personnel issues, respecting company guidelines and informing the UGP Manager and HRManages accidents on the line (first aid intervention, accident reporting, accident investigation, ) supported by the Team Leader, according to company guidelines.Ensures workplace training requirements are met for all personnel in areaMaintenance
Requests the intervention of the maintenance in the case of breakdown and repair service; in the cases of urgency, requests the intervention of the Utilities MaintenanceVerifies the maintenance interventions are performed in the scheduled time and according to hygiene and safety standardsEnvironmental
To assist in the implementation of and conformance to the Environmental Management System within key process areasWho we are looking for :
Previous experience as an RTO / Production Supervisor is requiredKnowledge of production lines and machinery (production performance indicators, technological processes)Knowledge of stock management and production modelsPrevious experience implementing and using continuous improvement and lean tools such as Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, etc. to drive improvement.Knowledge and application of production performance analysis methodsKnowledge and application of Ferrero Safety, Quality and Sanitation policies and proceduresKnowledge and application of production KPI’sStrong communication skills in a multi-cultural environment;Demonstrated ability to direct production employees in a proactive and positive manner;Demonstrated problem solving and leadership skills;Ability to troubleshoot technological problemsDemonstrated team building skills;Knowledge of production schedulingAble to work with minimal supervision in a rotating shift environment.Proficient with Microsoft OfficeAccommodations :
