The Specialist will be responsible for planning key projects within Connected Business. They will create business requirement documents to serve as a bridge between the Connected Business department and the technical team responsible for implementing the project. The incumbent will also assume a pivotal role in creating and implementing test plans, all the while coordinating evaluation events to uphold the standard of development quality. Moreover, the Specialist will gather, validate, and analyze data from various sources to derive actionable insights and produce comprehensive reports. Collaborating closely with Connected Business and Business Services members, the incumbent will refine both standardized and advanced reports to meet evolving needs.
The incumbent will report to the Manager, Connected Business – Strategy & Development and will be based out of Subaru Canada’s head office in Mississauga, Ontario (hybrid workstyle).
Primary Job Responsibilities :
Planning :
Formulate project plans delineating objectives, deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation.Collaborate closely with stakeholders to establish project scope, objectives, and benchmarks for success.Establish project timelines, milestones, and oversee adherence to schedules.Documentation :
Partner with technical teams to convert business needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Produce comprehensive documentation such as business requirement documents, use cases, process diagrams, and user guides.Foster communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure synchronization and clarity regarding project objectives and outcomes.Quality Assurance and Evaluations :
Oversee change management meetings to facilitate the adoption of new processes, systems, and technologies.Coordinate with stakeholders for user acceptance testing, training, and deployment.Monitor and evaluate changes' effectiveness, gathering feedback, and adjusting.Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, regulations, and best practices.Conduct regular reviews and inspections to identify and correct defects or deviations.Validate test cases for development and manage development-issue tickets.Conduct comprehensive testing of apps and programs to meet Canada-specific customer expectations, including new apps, regression testing, OTA updates, and dealer applications.Data Analysis and Reporting :
Collaborate with other members of Connected Business and IT to gather, validate, and analyze data, producing comprehensive reports and refining them to meet evolving business needs.Assist with performance metrics development to track Connected Business performance, facilitating decision-making.Knowledge Transfer :
Support knowledge transfer to empower internal and external stakeholders in confidently adopting new technologies across departments.Other duties, as assigned.Required Skills / Attributes :
Working knowledge of agile and waterfall project management methodologies.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective relationship-building, workshop facilitation, and presentation of findings to diverse audiences.Adaptable to shifting priorities, adept at managing multiple projects concurrently.Demonstrated prowess in decision-making regarding scope, timelines, and resource allocation.Proficiency with business intelligence tools.Able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple projects concurrently.Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to distill complex information into actionable insights.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, project management, or a related field.Demonstrated experience as a business analyst or in a similar role, ideally within corporate or consulting settings, coupled with project management expertise.Familiarity with business process modeling and documentation best practices.Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, MS Project, Visio, and PowerPoint, with a tech-savvy approach.Preferred knowledge of infotainment and telematics systems, alongside industry expertise in automotive, technology, or communications sectors.Possession of a valid driver’s license, with proficiency in manual transmission an assetBilingualism (French and English) advantageous.
