Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and specifications.
Program, set up and operate machine tools (CNC, lathes, milling machines, etc to produce precision parts and components for the aircraft.
Check the quality of parts produced using precise measuring equipment (micrometers, comparators, etc.).
Ensure that dimensional tolerances and technical requirements are respected.
Set up machines for specific operations, perform tool changes, and conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of machining equipment.
Work with engineers and other team members to solve technical problems.
Qualifications
Diploma in technical career, mechanics, machining or a related field (DEP in machining techniques, DEC or equivalent).
More than 4 years of experience as a machinist in the aerospace industry or similar.
Proficiency in machining techniques and measuring tools.
Knowledge of materials used in aeronautics (aluminum, titanium, composites, etc.).
CNC programming skills (mastery of software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, etc. an asset).
Attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
