The company's mission is to empower healthcare professionals and their supporters through technology-driven data, analytics, and education.As the Vice President, Data Technologies, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of enterprise-wide data systems — transforming raw data into actionable insights that drive business decisions and client value. You will oversee a talented team of data engineers, architects, and BI professionals, shaping the future of data and analytics for the organization.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership- Develop and execute the organization's enterprise data technology roadmap, aligning with business goals and vision.- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of data professionals, including data engineering, architecture, and BI/reporting teams.- Oversee performance management, hiring, and development for a team of 14, including 3 direct reports.- Partner closely with executive leadership to define priorities, cost-saving initiatives, and technology investments.- Present data-driven strategies and insights to senior stakeholders in a polished, business-focused manner.Data Platform & Architecture- Own the full lifecycle of data systems — from ingestion and transformation to warehousing, analytics, and reporting.- Design and optimize scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures on AWS and Snowflake.- Implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., dbt, Fivetran) for reliable and governed data flows.- Oversee data modeling, concept design, and metadata management.- Ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across all environments.Business Intelligence & Reporting- Lead the development of advanced dashboards, reports, and self-service BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).- Standardize KPIs and metrics organization-wide to enable consistent reporting and performance tracking.- Promote data literacy and a culture of analytics-driven decision-making across departments.- Partner with business stakeholders to translate technical solutions into measurable business outcomes.Qualifications & Experience: - 10+ years of experience in data architecture, engineering, or data platform leadership.- Proven success managing enterprise data ecosystems from ingestion to business intelligence.- Deep understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and analytics best practices.- Experience in defining technology roadmaps and executing data transformation strategies.- Skilled at leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with executives, engineers, and non-technical stakeholders.- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to explain complex concepts clearly.- Experience managing budgets and driving measurable cost efficiencies.- Media, healthcare, or pharmaceutical industry experience is a strong asset.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.Strong technical expertise in:- AWS Cloud Services and Snowflake- Modern ETL/ELT tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran)- BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Nice-to-Have:- Experience with customer data, activity data, or healthcare practitioner data.- Familiarity with pharma or healthcare communications environments.- Strong understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.Compensation & Benefits:- Base salary: $190,000 - $250,000- Performance bonus: up to 10% (average 5-10%)- Health & dental coverage from day one- RRSP matching: 3%- 3 weeks' vacation- 100% remote work (Ontario and Quebec only)Please send your resume in Word format to Maria Essaouari at maria.essaouari@quantum-qtr.com.REFER A HIRE AND EARN $1,000!
