We are currently seeking an Application Portfolio Management Lead - REMOTE to join our team in Vancouver, British Columbia (CA-BC), Canada (CA).
We are seeking to add an experienced Application Portfolio Management Lead to our Team to drive the rationalization of our application, technology, and digital product portfolios.
This role is critical in optimizing our integrated portfolio : combining analysis of business, financial, technology, and risk perspectives and providing key insights that create value.
The Application Portfolio Management Lead will work across departments to align technology investments with business objectives, propose initiatives (streamline program / project charter development, and ensure that our technology landscape remains agile, scalable, and secure).
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Portfolio Rationalization / Optimization : Lead the rationalization of the company’s application, technology, and digital product portfolios starting by gathering inventory of applications and expand that to full scale Application Portfolio Management.
- Integrated Portfolio Analysis : Create and manage an integrated portfolio framework that incorporates business, financial, technology, and risk data to provide a holistic view of current assets and future investments.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Strong, individual driven, communication skills. Act as a liaison between IT and Business and collaborate with business unit leaders, product owners, technology product owners, financial analysts, and risk management teams to gather and analyze portfolio data, ensuring that all stakeholders’ perspectives are included.
- Governance & Reporting : Define governance frameworks for managing the technology portfolio, ensuring ongoing visibility and transparency.
Prepare reports and dashboards that track portfolio health, risks, and progress toward rationalization goals.
Process Improvement : Propose and implement process improvements for portfolio management, including better tracking of key metrics and automation of reporting.
Minimum Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, or IT portfolio management. Preferred across business operations and supporting / enabling capabilities (Finance, IT, Procurement, Marketing, etc.)
Preferred Skills :
- Proven track record in application and technology portfolio rationalization.
- Strong understanding of business strategy, financial principles, and risk management.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and leading stakeholder engagements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, enterprise systems, and modern digital product architectures.
