Role Overview

Teck is looking for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to join our team at our Trail Operations, one of the world's largest fully integrated zinc and lead smelting and refining complexes. Reporting to the Metallurgy Development Manager, the Control Systems Engineer is accountable for the effective operation and efficient maintenance of control systems infrastructure to support achievement of business objectives. This includes planning for and implementing new technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
• Ensure the performance and efficient maintenance of control systems infrastructure and associated applications to support achievement of business objectives
• Plan for and implement new control system technology
• Collaborate with leaders of other disciplines (process control, operations, process technical, maintenance, projects, etc.) to ensure optimal utilization of control systems and alignment on improvements
• Manage control system projects, budgets and capital portfolio
• Provide guidance as the Control System Subject Matter Expert for management of site-wide standards, as well as adherence to corporate and regulatory standards
• Draft technical reports and control system documentation

Pay Range : CAD $105,000 - $130,000 per year

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
