  • Pay Rate : up to $17.20 / Hour (based on experience)
  • Location : Progress Ave & Kennedy Rd, Scarborough ON.
  • Shifts : Mornings | Monday to Thursday 7 : 30AM - 4 : 30PM AND Friday 7 : 30AM - 2PM
  • Shifts : Afternoons | Monday to Thursday 4 : 30pm - 1AM AND Friday 2PM - 10 : 30PM
  • Employment type : Temporary | Full time

    • Responsibilities :

  • Unload packages from trailers in a timely manner
  • Standing and walking within the warehouse throughout the shift
  • Utilize handheld devices to scan barcodes, when required
  • Obtain and unbox components of a frame, by lifting it from a skid and emptying it on a table
  • Obtain a frame from a skid and place them on a worktable
  • Peel off plastic or paper film from acrylic pieces
  • Perform assembly tasks such as (small module assembly parts handling, inserting non-slip feet knobs by finger pushing them into predrilled holes and other minor tasks)
  • Using a cloth / rag wipe off any dust from the pieces throughout the assembly
  • Apply two sided tapes (also known as laminating) to a partially prepared acrylic module
  • Bond pieces of acrylic using a syringe filled with glue (clear acrylic modules require more accuracy and take longer to bond than dark / black pieces)
  • Scrape and dull sharp edges of a module using a metal or plastic dull knife
  • When required, using a deburring tool, widen any holes in the module that require widening
  • When required, perform minor sanding to sand off any extra glue using a sandpaper and hand buff / polish the small area
  • When required, use bender (heat coil) machine, to bend acrylic pieces into various angles
  • Conduct quality control procedures using various demo products
  • Affix required stickers
  • Wrap the product in bubble wrap
  • Prepare and fold a cardboard into a box and place the final items inside the box
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

    • Qualifications :

  • Must be able to work up to 40 hours weekly
  • Physically fit and able to lift up up to 50 lbs.
  • Previous experience as a Warehouse worker, Packer, Packager, Laborer, or at a packaging position is an asset
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
