Job Description

Power Engineer

Be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of plant and mechanical facilities for our 519-room hotel, working on the installation and upkeep of electrics and boilers.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Starting Pay Rate : $32.00 per hour.

We recognize tenure through our compensation - hourly rates increase after 6 months and then yearly to three years. At three years the pay rate for this role would be $39.50 per hour.

Job Duties Include :

  • Preventative maintenance and servicing of physical plant and mechanical facilities
  • Services and repairs in all public and guest areas
  • Installation and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, including lighting and other controls
  • 120-220V wiring in restaurants, pool and public areas
  • Maintenance and replacement of boiler motors.

Qualifications

  • 4th Class Power Engineering designation required
  • Pool Operator certificate is an asset
  • Knowledge of energy management systems and HVAC an asset
