Job descriptionWilling to relocate Urban area Relocation costs covered by employer Diagnose diseases and physiological disorders May conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, preventive or curative methods Refer patients for surgery Conduct microscopic and chemical analyses of laboratory samples and specimens Prepare research papers for publication and presentation Study the nature, cause and development of diseases and the structural and functional changes caused by diseases Supervise laboratory activities Act as consultants to other physicians Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures Advise on research matters Teach one or more university subjects Prepare special lectures and presentations for conferences and consultations Direct research programs of graduate students Conduct research in field of specialization Conduct seminars and discussion groups Conduct laboratory sessions May serve on faculty committees dealing with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities Provincial or territorial licence Anatomical pathology General pathology Hematology pathology Medical microbiology Medical biochemistry Neuropathology Criminal record check Fast-paced environment Work under pressure Tight deadlines Physically demanding Attention to detail Hand-eye co-ordination Combination of sitting, standing, walking Standing for extended periods Walking Bending, crouching, kneeling Ability to distinguish between colours Manual dexterity Repetitive tasks Large workload Accurate Client focus Dependability Efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral communication Excellent written communication Flexibility Initiative Interpersonal awareness Judgement Organized Reliability Team player Values and ethics
