Role description :

We deliver digital products and solutions to help our customers manage the life cycle of their high value assets. We enable more predictable, efficient and sustainable business operations through transforming data in to actionable intelligence.

We deliver both commercial off the shelf product capability, and enterprise level solutions. A key part of our engagement model, particularly for positioning our enterprise solutions, is to provide focussed consulting services for our customers. This targeted advisory engagement includes helping our customers develop digital asset management strategies, transformation blueprints, and solution requirements sets.

Intelligence is a digital solutions and products oriented business area, and therefore all our consulting activity is aimed at positioning for, and supporting the implementation of value-adding digital products and solutions, towards the goal of securing enduring reoccurring revenues.

We have formed a global data science and analytics group, as part of the Intelligence GBA Global Solutions Delivery Organization covering :

  • Managed Service Contracts, Systems Integration Services, Woven Telecommunications Network Services, Transportation Tolling Solution, Urban Transportation Solutions, Asset Management, Enterprise Asset Management, EAM and Enterprise Decision Analytics (Asset Investment Planning, AIP).

Individuals in this group will undertake a mix of billable, strategic advisory work and where necessary pre-sales support activities. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of data science and advanced analytics focused opportunities and provide leadership to the engagements.

Role accountabilities :

  • To lead strategic advisory engagements, positioning IGBA for future product sales and Solution implementations
  • Undertake consulting roles on integrated solution delivery teams
  • Working with our growth community, contribute effectively to business winning endeavours, from early customer engagement, to supporting quote output
  • Develop, support and mentor colleagues within our Data Science and Analytics Group, and broader IGBA community
  • Deliver on time utilisation targets, which will vary according to business plans and forward load commitments
  • Deliver customer engagements to time, cost and quality, working pro-actively with the IGBA PMO to do so
  • Be a principal point of engagement with other Arcadis business area to make sure we can leverage the broad advisory capacity and reach-back potential
  • Be active in sharing your knowledge, effectively utilise IGBA information and collaboration systems, and secure opportunities for continuous development to the benefit of our business (such as influencing new product development) and IGBA colleagues
  • Undertake a leadership role in the promotion of IGBA values, and securing the health, safety and wellbeing of colleagues, customer and partners
  • Qualifications & Experience :

    We are looking for individuals who have a strong track record in business, digital and technical consulting within a strategic asset management context. You will have successfully delivered a broad range of consulting assignments across asset intensive industries, with a focus on enabling better decisions across the asset lifecycle and the role of information systems in enabling such insights.

    Your style will be logical, engaging and flexible and you will bring an analytical rigour to your work. With strong communication skills you will be comfortable engaging across diverse communities, including with senior, Board level stakeholders.

    Must Haves :

  • 10+ years experience working in physical asset intensive industries, including rail, utilities, highways or similar
  • 5+ years consulting experience in strategic asset management, digital transformation and information management
  • Experience of leading customer engagements, from initial engagement, to quote preparation and successful delivery of assignments
  • Excellent communication skills in order to prepare reports, make presentations to executives and business partners, and to provide direction for staff
  • Experience of developing and managing a high performing consulting team
  • Nice to haves :

  • A broad understanding of ISO and digital landscape as it pertains to physical asset management
  • Experience of working with different cultures across a global customer base
  • Experience of information system implementation, and Agile solution development and delivery
  • Chartered Certification and relevant professional qualification(s) such as diploma in asset management or CMI qualification
  • Ownership of a consulting P&L and responsibility for team billability
  • A significant network of contacts to drive new customer opportunities, and partnering options
  • Experience of working in or with a big 4 consulting business, or strategy firm.
