Your role Radio-Canada Ontario is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic senior writer with strong journalistic skills and extensive experience in digital news to join the daily news team in Ontario. This position is based in Sudbury. You will collaborate on the Radio-Canada Ontario website and its associated digital platforms, writing news articles under tight deadlines. You are expected to create and organize digital news content and enhance articles with multimedia elements to maximize their value for the audience. You may be called upon to write and present a combination of headlines and local, regional, national, and international news for both the web and radio. Working in a highly integrated newsroom, you may also contribute reports and news content on other platforms as needed. Please note that this is a full-time, on-site position from Monday to Friday. The chosen candidate may occasionally need to work overtime or on statutory holidays. The schedule is subject to change based on operational needs.

Main Tasks
Use content from other SRC / CBC platforms for digital services : write and format stories with compelling headlines, photos, videos, audio content, and illustrations, using the latest audience insights and metrics, and drawing from various sources.
