Job Summary

The Financial Analyst, Business Intelligence supports business planning, financial analysis, and performance reporting across the organization. This role is responsible for building financial models, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and translating financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights for decision-making. The role will also serve as a key Power BI contributor, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining dashboards and reports used by the finance team and business stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable working independently in Power BI and translating business questions into effective data models and visual insights. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone early in their finance career who has a strong business foundation, solid technical skills, and the ability to take open-ended requests and determine the right analytical approach.

Location and work model

This role is based in our Dartmouth, NS office and follows a hybrid work model, with flexibility and a minimum of two in-office days per week.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Financial Analysis & Modelling : Analyze monthly and quarterly financial performance, including profit and loss results, variances, and key business drivers
• Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, scenario analysis, and business planning
• Support development of business cases, investment analysis, and business valuation models, with guidance as needed
• Assist in evaluating strategic initiatives such as capital investments, partnerships, and growth opportunities
• Conduct market and industry research to support planning and decision-making
• Support preparation of business plans and financial materials for internal and external stakeholders
