P.ENG REQUIRED - Residential subdivision & site development specialists only

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Must Have ALL :

P.Eng Nova Scotia license (or eligible for immediate registration)

3+ years residential site development (subdivisions, multi-unit housing projects)

Civil 3D expertise with parametric grading and design templates

Municipal approval experience in HRM or Nova Scotia municipalities

Fast-paced development background (30-day permit cycles, not 6-month infrastructure projects)

MANDATORY SCREENING QUESTIONS

• What residential projects have you designed? Include project names, unit counts, municipality, your role, and timeline from design to permit approval.
• Describe your Civil 3D and grading template experience. What parametric tools have you used? Provide specific examples of template development.
• What's your fastest municipal approval turnaround? Describe the project scope, municipality, and how you achieved speed.
• How do you approach design standardization for repeated projects? Give examples of creating reusable systems vs. one-off custom solutions.
• Are you available for immediate start on contract basis?

This compensation is 30-85% above Nova Scotia market rates because A-player engineers produce 3-5x the output of average talent.

A MONTH IN YOUR WORK

Week 1 : New site in Halifax. Your parametric grading template adapts to the slope in 2 hours. What used to take 2 days.

Week 2 : Municipal comments arrive. Your documentation is so thorough, it's just clarifications. 48-hour turnaround.

Week 3 : Construction starts on last month's project. You visit site, see your drainage solution working perfectly. One small improvement for next time.

Week 4 : Expand template to handle Dartmouth's different requirements. System grows stronger.
