What You’ll Do
- Work in small, collaborative teams with minimal oversight to design and deliver solutions on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using core cloud data warehouse tools, distributed processing engines, event streaming platforms, and other modern data technologies.
- Understand the client’s current environment and challenges, define a future-state architecture, and lead analysis, architecture, design, and development of the client’s next-generation Data Platform Solution.
- Communicate design trade-offs and drive consensus between Slalom and client teams. Break down complex tasks and ensure timely, quality delivery that supports the technical solution.
- Participate in pre-sales activities when possible, including defining approaches to address technical challenges and assisting business development with estimates and plans.
- Hybrid/in-office expectations: be in-person with Slalom teams and clients as needed and be within commutable distance to Slalom’s Vancouver office.
What You’ll Bring
- Broad experience in architecture design with deep expertise in one or more data engineering technologies, plus curiosity and a willingness to experiment to meet client data challenges.
- Ability to break down large problems, self-start, and share learnings with project teams and the Slalom Build community.
- Experience with data platforms and programming languages, and willingness to explore a range of technologies including those listed below.
- Strong communication skills to describe pros/cons of solution designs and lead teams to consensus.

Hybrid/In-office

Compensation and Benefits
Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation. For this position, the base salary range is $111,500 to $166,500, with potential for a 10-12% discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and qualifications.
