With a four‑bay repair facility, shared resources across OSCO, and the largest concrete boom pump east of Montreal, we’re committed to quality, safety, and innovation.
We’re looking for a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to help keep our operations running safely and efficiently across our HRM locations, with occasional travel within the Maritimes. This role is responsible for all repairs on plant equipment including the ready-mix plants, concrete reclaimers and conveyors.

What You’ll Do
- Diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs on plant machinery
- Assemble, install, and adjust bearings, bushings, shafts, gears, and related components
- Conduct inspections, lubrication, and preventative maintenance
- Repair or replace parts using hand tools, power tools, torches, and welding equipment
- Fabricate or rebuild components when needed
- Operate power tools and welding equipment (gas/electric)
- Perform site hazard assessments and follow safety protocols
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspaces
- Support additional maintenance duties as required
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing plant or industrial equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and boiler systems
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Ability to work long shifts or extra hours when required
- Skills in carpentry, welding, plumbing, mechanical repair, or fabrication
- Experience in the ready-mix or construction industry is an asset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willing to travel to other locations around Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable working in a loud, heavy industrial environment with exposure to weather elements
- Ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and work safely at heights
