Quality Engineer Day Shift – 8AM-5PM (M-F)
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer on Day Shift based in Waterloo, Ontario (UMW).
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure customer satisfaction regarding quality items and address quality issues during pre- and post-launch, including reviewing ECNs.
- Support and participate in the APQP process, activities, and trials to ensure design and process feasibility.
- Prepare PPAPs, determine customer requirements, and communicate standards within the organization.
- Coordinate and participate in dimensional evaluations and SPC studies, ensuring proper calibration of equipment.
- Participate in Gauge Accuracy, R&R studies, and perform process capability and performance studies, reporting results statistically.
- Train operators and cell leaders in in-process inspections and participate in their training.
- Monitor process and product quality performance according to standards and procedures.
- Complete all PSO functions on assigned programs.
- Analyze, document, and respond to customer warranty issues.
Ideal Candidate :
Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline or CQE.Two years' experience in a related quality position.At least 3 years of automotive quality experience.Experience with problem-solving techniques, Quality Systems, APQP, statistical methods, control plans, and PPAPs.Ability to travel domestically and internationally (valid passport and driver's license required).Flexible to work overtime and weekends.Ability to work independently with leadership and organizational skills.Experience with injection molding and assembly processes.We thank all candidates for their interest; only those qualified for an interview will be contacted.
