As an Architectural Technologist you will directly contribute to the daily production of the customer's overall experience as they progress through our internal process. You'll engage with with customers virtually via online conference tools to learn about their project and deliver important zoning bylaw information and present concept design layouts. During in-person site visit you'll interact with clients and learn more about their project as the 3D scanner capture the existing site data. As you manage your portfolio of projects, you'll be responsible for coordinating with our engineering team member and liaison with the building department to deliver a seamless experience.

Job Description

Property Pathways Inc. is seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented candidate that can oversee projects from start to finish. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following :

  • Contribute to the coordination and preparation of complete working drawing packages and construction documents in Revit 2019 - 2021.
  • Conduct site measure using portable 3D laser scanning technology.
  • Research and implementing zoning By-laws, along with other applicable regulations.
  • Attend Committee Of Adjustment hearings.
  • Assist with interpreting the Ontario Building Code
  • Produce photorealistic rendition of plans and elevation as required for project presentation
  • Work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
  • Attend project team meetings.
  • Use problem-solving skills to overcome technical challenges.
  • Visit job sites to gather essential data for the design and implementation of projects, as required.

Requirements

  • Architectural Technology Diploma / Certification.
  • Between 2 - 5 years working experience as an Architectural Technologist in an Architecture or design firm, with at least 2 years coming from within Canada
  • Proficient with Revit 2019 – 2021 and the use of point cloud
  • Experience working with residential and mix-use conversion projects
  • Ability to work in a fast pace environment
  • Knowledge of local bylaws and the Ontario building codes
  • Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Leadership potential and self-motivated starter
  • Valid driver’s license and owns a vehicle
  • Experience working with zoning amendment process and conservation authorities
  • Aspire to become a BCIN designer.
