About the role .

We are looking for an innovative Research and Development Intern for Summer 2026 to accelerate the development and deployment of advanced data tools and AI-driven insights with a primary focus on supporting our research and development (R&D) initiatives. This position will extract actionable insights from complex datasets develop apps and digital solutions to improve R&D work efficiency and help drive data-informed decision-making throughout the organization.

This position will be based in our Toronto Ontario location with the expectation of working onsite / in-office five days a week.

What youll be doing.

• Accelerate the development of AI-driven data tools to address R&D data needs utilizing Genie (AI) and Databricks to extract and communicate actionable insights.
• Design build and implement AI-powered applications that enhance R&D work efficiency and inform strategic decision-making processes.
• Apply statistical modeling to large diverse datasets to identify key patterns trends and opportunities for the R&D function.
• Operate independently to develop test and optimize digital tools and apps in line with R&D requirements and project expectations.
• Regularly communicate and report analytical findings progress and recommendations to stakeholders and larger multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop establish and manage data analytic dashboards and reports to provide clear real-time visibility into ongoing R&D activities.
• Maintain accurate record-keeping systems and organize data resources to ensure comprehensive data traceability auditability and compliance with internal protocols.

The Intern will be part of our Global Research & Development team. The team designs and develops exciting new products such as fries pizza pockets and desserts for retail and food service customers and works cross-functionally with other digital teams.

Compensation Package : $23.00-$26.00 CAD hourly wage equivalent paid salary.

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education and training and other organizational needs.
