About You

You have an excellent oral presentation and written skills along with strong interpersonal communications skills.

The Team

Reporting to the Director of marketing, the Product Marketing Manager is responsible for communicating the benefits of our Seismology and SMS business units’ products and services through compelling storytelling. The individual in this role is the advocate for Nanometrics’ portfolio of products and services and their benefits. It is not about just doing demos or presenting product features. This role is the glue that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing and to achieve results.

The Role

Create and execute innovative strategies and marketing plans that drive awareness, engagement, and product adoption.

Vertical and Geographic Market intelligence—be the expert on our buyers, who they are, how they buy, and the who, what, when, and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.

Leverage marketing insights to better understand our customers and represent the voice of the customer.

Understand the competitive landscape—be an expert on our competition, how they are positioned, and what our value add and key product / solutions-related market differentiators are.

Develops portfolio-specific and sales enablement product marketing content and collateral (blogs, whitepapers, videos, webinars, brochures, customer and sales training presentations etc,.) to support offline and digital marketing campaigns and the sales team to drive portfolio growth

Develop and execute marketing strategies and plans for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key activities and budgets across channels and customer touch points (ex. digital, events, etc) to support the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including R&D, product management, sales, marketing to drive go-to-market planning and execution. Develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target buyer personas.

Analyze sales data and partner information to create plans to improve product line sales using marketing techniques

Assess the effectiveness of the marketing programs that support your products on an ongoing basis, and report back on required changes.

Plan the launches of net-new products and releases of existing products, and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.

Serve as one of the primary thought leaders for the products you support internally and externally, including speaking engagements and written works.

Understand and support our regional partner sales representatives; train them on the problems we solve for our buyers and users; develop internal tools and external collateral and teach them how and when to use them.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing.

5 years of product marketing experience in a related industry, including technical competency.

Comfortable using CRM tools like Salesforce to create and maintain reporting dashboards.

Familiar with marketing automation and video demo tools like Google Analytics, Hubspot, Loom.

Power-user of networking tools like LinkedIn, X, Facebook, and Instagram.
