What We Offer :

As an on-demand part-time companion at Tuktu Care, you will have the opportunity to earn income on your own schedule while making a positive social impact.

We offer competitive compensation rates ranging from $20 to $30 per hour based on the services you provide.

As a personal support worker, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes or in assisted living facilities.

Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, providing personal care, and ensuring the well-being of our clients.

Duties :

Provide personal care and assist with activities of daily living to clients, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing

Assist with mobility and transfers

Medication reminders

Prepare meals and assist with feeding

Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment

Provide companionship and emotional support to clients

Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals

Experience :

Previous experience in caregiving with those living with dementia preferred

Familiarity with home care or nursing home settings is a plus

Knowledge of senior care principles and practices

Experience in medication reminders is highly desirable

Understanding of dementia care techniques is an asset

Other Qualifications :

To be eligible for the on-demand part-time companion position at Tuktu Care, you must meet the following requirements :

• Age : Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Certifications in caregiving such as Health Care Aide, Health Care Assistant etc.
• Driving License (if choosing services like Rides and Accompaniment) : For services involving transportation, such as rides and accompaniment, a valid driving license is required.

These part-time companion positions are available across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
