Job descriptionBachelor's or Master's in Sciences or Engineering (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, or related). At least 3 years of experience in CRO or pharmaceutical industry. Hands-on experience with assay automation and liquid handling. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., VB, Java, HTML) is a plus. Experience in a GxP environment and familiarity with Watson LIMS is advantageous. About the Role
The Optimization Scientist will be a subject matter expert in assay automation, supporting complex automated systems for our science teams. This role involves collaboration with scientists and engineers to develop efficient and robust automated protocols. Responsibilities include leading automation projects, collaborating with vendors and cross-functional teams, developing automated assays, troubleshooting, and validation of systems, among others.
Responsibilities
- Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions across departments.
- Collaborate with IT to validate software and automate assays.
- Train operators and develop SOPs for automation processes.
- Manage validation projects and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Maintain automated systems and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
