One of our clients in Vancouver, BC region is looking for a Maintenance Manager for their manufacturing facility.
Pay: - Upto 150k
Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
Oversee maintenance of printing and packaging equipment (Flexo/Gravure presses, Offset presses, Laminators, Slitters, Bag-making machines, Corrugation lines, etc.).
Develop, implement, and monitor Preventive and Predictive Maintenance programs.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues to reduce downtime.
Ensure machine calibration, alignment, and performance optimization.
Coordinate with OEMs and vendors for technical support and spare parts supply.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and supervise maintenance technicians, electricians, and mechanics.
Assign daily maintenance tasks and monitor team performance.
Promote a safety-first culture and enforce proper use of tools and PPE.
Process Improvement
Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase machine uptime, reduce waste, and improve production efficiency.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to support smooth operations.
Planning & Documentation
Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history.
Ensure compliance with GMP, ISO, HACCP, and safety standards (as applicable).
Prepare maintenance budgets, plan spare parts inventory, and control costs.
Schedule and execute shutdown maintenance and equipment overhauls.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure all machinery meets legal and safety requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
Train staff on emergency procedures and safe machine operation.
Qualifications & Skills
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
10+ years of maintenance experience in printing, packaging, corrugation, or related manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of:
Flexographic/gravure/offset printing systems
PLCs, VFDs, servo systems, and basic automation
Pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial electrical systems
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
