Description :

We are currently seeking exceptional applicants for both full-time and part-time positions as a cardiologist at our community cardiac clinic, Cardio 1, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Cardio 1 Medical opened in 2019 with a focus on improving access to community cardiology services. Over the past five years, our clinic has grown to include a diverse team of physicians and has fostered a strong reputation in our community. Due to high demand, we are currently turning away many new patients that are being referred to our clinic. To support the growing need within our community, we are now actively looking for additional cardiologists to join our team.

Our modern clinic provides a fantastic work environment and team culture. We are well known for the high level of support we provide to the physicians who choose to work within our clinics. This includes, but is not limited to :

  • EMR training and forms / macro creation;
  • Billing support and education on understanding the Manitoba Health billing manual;
  • Opportunities to participate in relevant research studies being conducted within the clinic;
  • Community integration and support for newcomers to Manitoba;
  • Support in developing niche practice areas or programs that are of professional interest to the physician.

We pride ourselves on having strong support staff and a welcoming environment. As such, we have tried to make a transition to community practice as seamless as possible. Included in our overhead are all costs associated with your practice. This includes billing, staffing, training, room rent, equipment requirements, software / EMR, supplies, and other routine services necessary for operating a successful practice.

Primary duties will include :

  • Community (outpatient) consultation and follow-up appointments in the medical field of cardiology;
  • Interpretation of appropriate diagnostic testing, including ECG, exercise stress testing, ambulatory BP monitoring, etc.
  • Please Note : This is a community office-based position. Hospital privileges are not guaranteed, nor required to work at our clinic.
  • Required Qualifications :

  • Graduation from a recognized Medical School and accredited residency program on route to full certification with the (FRCPC) Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Qualifications and competency to practice cardiology in Canada.
  • Registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM).
  • Registration with the Canadian Medical Protective Agency (CMPA) or equivalent for medical liability coverage.
  • Compensation :

    All compensation is earned through fee-for-service billing. The clinic withholds a percentage of total billings for overhead, with the balance being paid to the physician.

    Our overhead structure is competitive and will vary on the level of financial support required to help a physician transition into practice at our clinic.

    Primary Site Location :

    Cardio 1 Medical Clinic, 2 - 230 Osborne Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 1Z5
