Required immediately, our LOCAL Abbotsford BRANCH is seeking a full-time Laminate Production Worker to join our team Monday to Friday 6am-2pm.

Duties and Responsibilities :
The production worker is responsible for the production of laminate counter tops at various stages in the manufacturing process. The production worker's duties may vary from operating machinery, assembling materials or equipment, carrying out inspections and quality control for the final product while always maintaining a clean and orderly workstation and observing and adhering to all safety procedures while being an active member of the production team

Ability to read and understand measurementsBasic mathematical skills and good understanding of fractionsDemonstrated knowledge of hand woodworking tools and the operation of power tools such as table saw, chop saw etc. considered an assetAttention to detailAble to operate a forklift or obtain license considered an assetAble to lift 60lbs- 100lbs regularlyDesired Skills & Experience
Cutting and finishing
Read the order information on the tape and adjust saw angles accordinglyMark the top with the cut linesCut the top to order specificationsConduct quality control check to verify proper formationSend orders to finishingGlue laminate edges onto CountertopSand rough edgesWash the top and conduct a final quality control inspectionLine Coving
Read the order information on the tape and adjust the slitter saw accordinglyFeed the top through the slitterProgram the coving machine with required order information to shape the backsplashFeed through coving machineConduct quality control check to verify proper formationSend individual orders down rollers and stack branch orders on the low wagonCore Marking
Remove core from pallet and feed into the rip sawProgram core builder, to run required core profileMonitor set min and max levels, to determine cores requiredPile shaped cores safely onto low wagonAssembler
Glue and clamp mitres togetherApply shims if requiredConduct quality control check to ensure no scratches or marksOnce dry, load them onto low wagonSend to shippingAssemble butt joints and return to cuttingAssemble special core and return to coresLine Postformer
Perform initial quality control check and verify correct spray coverageApply laminate and feed through the pinch roller and verify even applicationSet postform width and feed the counter top through the postformerSpecial Core Maker
Remove core from pallet and set up table saw to desired widthCut core to desired widthCompute sizes of cores using order sheetsPile shaped cores safely onto low wagonLine Sprayer
Read the order information on laminate tapeSelect the correct core and clean the surface area of any dust or particlesAdjust sprayer width to avoid any wasteFeed the core through the sprayerPerform quality control check and verify correct spray coverageLay out
