Customs Consultant

YOUR ROLE

We are looking to add a full-time Customs Consultant to join our team in Montreal.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The successful candidate will clear client shipments and ensure merchandise is delivered. Respond to clients’ inquiries regarding customs clearance and follow up.

Responsibilities :

Prepare and follow claims, amendments, and drawbacks.

Understand and comply with the laws and regulations of different governments as well as procedures established by CEVA – Air & Ocean Canada including ISO norms of the company.

Approve and follow up on certificates of origin

Revise, update and create codes for products for the client base (HS classification).

Visit and perform consultation services to clients.

Resource person for technical information.

Support agents in the customs department.

Other duties as defined by the immediate supervisor.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• 5 + years of relevant experience in Customs Consulting.
• CCSC (Certified Customs Specialist) Certificate preferable.
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service to clients
• Excellent organization skills and be a proactive problem solver
• Ability to manage own time and priorities workload to meet internal and external expectations
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good interpersonal and teamworking skills required
• Fluent In English and French
