Adecco is currently seeking a proficient Assembly Technician to join our clients team in Scarborough, ON. This position, offered on a temporary basis, presents an exciting opportunity for individuals skilled in assembly processes.

  • Pay rate : $17 / hour.
  • Location : Scarborough, ON
  • Shifts : Monday-Friday 7 : 00am-3 : 30pm

Responsibilities :

  • Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.
  • Accurately assemble components and sub-assemblies.
  • Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process.
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components.
  • Use tools and manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units.
  • Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances and quality standards.
  • Repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels.
  • Keep daily assembly production records.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets and deadlines.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or quality issues.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements :

  • Experience as assembler, 6 months to 1 year.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
  • Ability in using tools (e.g., clamps, hand drills, screwdrivers).
  • Good understanding of quality control principles.
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift / move heavy objects if required.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new assembly techniques and technologies.

  • High school diploma; Higher degree from a technical school.
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
