Service Supervisor

The Field Service Team Leader is a working supervisor responsible for delivering a first-class field service to Rotork clients through the leadership of a team of Field Service Technicians.

Reporting to the National Service Manager, this person will spend approximately 30% of their time on direct supervision / management, development, and compliance of the Field Service Technicians.

The remaining time ( 70%) will involve fulfilling day-to-day field service responsibilities : installing, commissioning, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing actuators and associated equipment in customer’s plants / sites.

This role provides the opportunity to work primarily in end users’ plants in the Water and Wastewater, Power Generation, Petrochemical, Offshore, and Onshore Oil and Gas Industries, while adhering to client site rules, regulations, and working hours.

Depending on business levels, it may be required to cover a 24hr on-call response.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements :

• Technical knowledge acquired through a recognized electrical or mechanical engineering qualification / apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience in a field-based role.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, up to 75%; maintain a valid passport and ability to enter the United States.
• Maintain a valid Class 5 / Class G driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Able to work non-standard hours and shifts as required by customer schedules and defined in contracts.
• Ability to perform work in remote locations, which may be away from the normal region of responsibility, within or outside the country of employment, or on offshore facilities - with durations ranging from a number of days to several weeks.
• Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

The Successful Candidate :

• Ability to supervise and lead a team to meet company objectives; experience leading a team is preferred.
• High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance.
• Technical experience and relevant knowledge of valves, actuators, and digital control systems.
• Experience working in a practical engineering environment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematic drawings and use a range of common test and calibration instruments, hand tools, and electronic devices.
