Accounting Clerk

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Toronto, Ontario, on a Contract to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounts payable and general accounting who thrives in dynamic environments. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations and supporting the team with critical accounting functions.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the full cycle accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.
• Handle accounting tasks for multiple bank accounts, ensuring compliance with complex financial structures.
• Process non-purchase order invoices and maintain proper documentation.
• Support general accounting operations, including chargebacks to agents and accounts receivable tasks.
• Collaborate with the team to address discrepancies and resolve accounting issues efficiently.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting functions.
• Strong understanding of bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
• Familiarity with month-end closing processes and journal entries.
• Ability to manage complex financial structures with multiple bank accounts.
• Experience with non-purchase order invoice processing.
• Proficiency in handling chargebacks and accounts receivable tasks.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
