Halifax Water is accepting applications for One (1) Regular Fill-Time Learning & Development Specialist in the People & Culture Department. Responsibilities
The Learning and Development Specialist provides effective and timely training expertise solutions and services to its stakeholders linking Halifax Waters strategic and business plan goals with building and growing a learning culture. This role includes collaborating with stakeholders to design develop and implement timely and accessible training / learning solutions to meet compliance and education requirements. The role also involves a change management approach to managing instructional design activities for projects to ensure employees are supported to meet their current and future job role learning needs.

As a public service utility operating critical infrastructure on behalf of our customers our employees are trained in Emergency Measures Operations (EMO) and Incident Command System (ICS). This type of training allows Halifax Water to respond to all emergencies from simple water main breaks to keeping customer water flowing (water wastewater and stormwater) through Hurricanes and other major natural events.
