ABOUT YOUR ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics Enablement, the Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building and deploying data pipelines to feed advanced analytics use cases. The applicant will also provide insightful advice to the Technology & Digital Strategy (TDS) management team, the client deal teams as well as potentially thought partner with portfolio companies when necessary.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll :
Create, own, optimize, and maintain data pre-processing and features engineering pipelines to feed advanced analytics use cases within the Analytics Enablement team in alignment with the data architecture guiding principlesBuild required infrastructure to streamline data extraction and transformation to support advanced analytics use cases related to investment in public and private marketWork with advanced analytics practitioners, including citizen practitioners, data scientists to increase efficiency of project deliveryParticipate in building analytics tools to deliver actionable insights and packaged product for coworkers and stakeholdersAdopt and scale an API-first approach for advanced analytics use casesWHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Minimum of 5 years’ experience and bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineeringExperience working with relational and no-relational database, specifically using Snowflake and other database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Hive, etc)Knowledge of database architecture and optimization for warehouses and data lakeStrong Experience building big data pipelines for ETL focusing on time series data using : PySpark , etcStrong Experience using Databricks on AzureKnowledge of Azure Functionalities (Data Factory, Azure DevOps, etc)Strong Experience in development of pipelines using object-oriented programming in PythonEnglish required, French an asset
