ABOUT YOUR ROLE

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Analytics Enablement, the Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for building and deploying data pipelines to feed advanced analytics use cases. The applicant will also provide insightful advice to the Technology & Digital Strategy (TDS) management team, the client deal teams as well as potentially thought partner with portfolio companies when necessary.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you’ll :

  • Create, own, optimize, and maintain data pre-processing and features engineering pipelines to feed advanced analytics use cases within the Analytics Enablement team in alignment with the data architecture guiding principles
  • Build required infrastructure to streamline data extraction and transformation to support advanced analytics use cases related to investment in public and private market
  • Work with advanced analytics practitioners, including citizen practitioners, data scientists to increase efficiency of project delivery
  • Participate in building analytics tools to deliver actionable insights and packaged product for coworkers and stakeholders
  • Adopt and scale an API-first approach for advanced analytics use cases

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience and bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering
  • Experience working with relational and no-relational database, specifically using Snowflake and other database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, Hive, etc)
  • Knowledge of database architecture and optimization for warehouses and data lake
  • Strong Experience building big data pipelines for ETL focusing on time series data using : PySpark , etc
  • Strong Experience using Databricks on Azure
  • Knowledge of Azure Functionalities (Data Factory, Azure DevOps, etc)
  • Strong Experience in development of pipelines using object-oriented programming in Python

    • English required, French an asset
