Roles
Responsibilities :
- Practice safe working procedures and comply with code
- Use personal protective equipment with lockout / isolation procedures as required
- Perform maintenance, service, overhaul, and repair
- New construction
- Machine set-up and installation
- Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions
- Construct foundations for machinery
- Repair or replace defective machinery parts
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Operate machining tools to fabricate parts
- Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
- Coach and instruct apprentices
Qualifications :
Ontario or Inter-Provincial 433A Industrial Millwright Certificate of QualificationMinimum 2 years of relevant work experience as a Licensed MillwrightAble to work shift rotationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAble to work overtime, sometimes on short notice – manufacturing is ever-changing, and flexibility is keyOur company believes in rewarding outstanding performance with an equally outstanding total rewards package.
