Job description

En tant que Business Development Manager à Montréal, vous jouerez un rôle clé dans la construction et le développement de l’avenir d’Amaris Consulting en créant et en faisant évoluer votre propre Business Unit au sein du domaine IS & Digital. Vous aurez la pleine responsabilité stratégique et opérationnelle du département, en pilotant la croissance, la rentabilité et l’excellence client dans des domaines IT clés tels que le Cloud, le Développement Logiciel, la Data & l’IA, la Cybersécurité et la Transformation Digitale .

Il s’agit d’un rôle de leadership combinant sens du business, expertise technique et gestion des équipes — vous offrant l’opportunité d’agir à la fois comme un entrepreneur au sein de l’organisation et un conseiller de confiance auprès des clients.

Responsabilités principales

1. Développement business & stratégie

  • Définir et exécuter le plan stratégique de croissance du département IS & Digital.
  • Identifier les tendances du marché et les traduire en offres de services innovantes répondant aux besoins clients.
  • Piloter le développement commercial de bout en bout : identification d’opportunités, création de propositions, négociation et clôture.
  • Élaborer des propositions techniques et financières structurées, adaptées aux enjeux clients.
  • Organiser et animer les réunions de qualification, ateliers de solutions et revues de performance.
  • Suivre et reporter régulièrement le pipeline commercial, les KPIs et la performance business.

2. Gestion client

  • Être l’interlocuteur principal des comptes clés, en construisant des relations durables basées sur la confiance et la valeur.
  • Développer la présence d’Amaris au sein des clients existants et ouvrir de nouveaux comptes multisectoriels.
  • Mener les négociations contractuelles et garantir l’alignement entre attentes clients et delivery.
  • Identifier de manière proactive de nouvelles opportunités digitales et tendances émergentes afin de positionner Amaris comme partenaire stratégique.
  • 3. Gestion financière

  • Piloter le P&L du département IS & Digital, en assurant une croissance durable et des marges saines.
  • Réaliser des analyses financières régulières pour optimiser la performance, contrôler les coûts et anticiper les risques.
  • Superviser les processus de facturation et gérer les sujets de recouvrement lorsque nécessaire.
  • Prévoir les revenus et besoins en ressources pour soutenir la planification stratégique.
  • 4. Leadership d’équipe

  • Encadrer, accompagner et faire évoluer une équipe performante de consultants et business managers.
  • Stimuler l’engagement, le développement de carrière et le management de la performance au sein de l’équipe.
  • Gérer efficacement les périodes d’inter-contrat et mettre en place des stratégies pour maximiser l’utilisation du bench.
  • Favoriser une culture d’innovation, de collaboration et d’amélioration continue.
  • 5. Recrutement & développement des talents

  • Superviser le recrutement de talents IT de premier plan dans les domaines du cloud, de la data, de la cybersécurité et du développement logiciel.
  • Définir les profils, conduire les entretiens et assurer une intégration fluide.
  • Mettre en place des programmes de développement, des évaluations de performance et des plans de succession pour les rôles critiques.
  • Collaborer avec les équipes RH et Talent centrales pour aligner le recrutement sur la demande marché et les projets clients.
  • Profil recherché

  • Master en Technologies de l’Information, Ingénierie, Administration des Affaires ou domaine connexe.
  • Minimum 5 ans en conseil IT, gestion de projet ou services digitaux, avec une expérience avérée en management d’équipe et gestion d’un centre de profit.
  • Capacité démontrée à diriger, motiver et développer des équipes multidisciplinaires dans un environnement dynamique.
  • Solide compréhension des métriques financières, de la gestion P&L et de la stratégie commerciale.
  • Expérience en relation client, développement business et négociation contractuelle.
  • Connaissance approfondie des technologies digitales (Cloud, Data, Cybersécurité, Software) et des tendances de transformation digitale.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais (oral et écrit) ; toute langue supplémentaire est un atout.

    As Business Development Manager in Montreal , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Amaris Consulting by building and scaling your own Business Unit within the IS & Digital domain. You will have full strategic and operational ownership of the department, driving growth, profitability, and client excellence in key IT service areas such as Cloud, Software Development, Data & AI, Cybersecurity, and Digital Transformation .

    This is a leadership role that combines business acumen, technical expertise, and people management — offering you the opportunity to act as both an entrepreneur within the organization and a trusted advisor to clients.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Business Development & Strategy

  • Define and execute the strategic growth plan for the IS & Digital department.
  • Identify market trends and translate them into innovative service offerings aligned with client needs.
  • Lead end-to-end business development : from opportunity identification to proposal creation, negotiation, and closure.
  • Develop structured technical and financial proposals tailored to client challenges.
  • Organize and lead client qualification meetings, solution workshops, and performance reviews.
  • Monitor and report regularly on sales pipeline, KPIs, and business performance.
  • 2. Client Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, building long-term relationships based on trust and value delivery.
  • Expand Amaris’ footprint within existing clients and open new accounts across industries.
  • Lead contract negotiations and ensure alignment between client expectations and project delivery.
  • Proactively identify new digital opportunities and emerging trends to position Amaris as a strategic partner.
  • 3. Financial Management

  • Own the P&L of the IS & Digital department, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and healthy margins.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to optimize performance, control costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Oversee invoicing processes and manage collections and recovery topics when necessary.
  • Forecast revenue and resource needs to support strategic planning.
  • 4. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of consultants and business managers.
  • Drive engagement, career development, and performance management across the team.
  • Manage inter-contract periods efficiently and implement strategies to maximize bench utilization.

  • 5. Recruitment & People Development

  • Oversee recruitment of top-tier IT talent in areas such as cloud, data, cybersecurity, and software engineering.
  • Define role profiles, conduct interviews, and ensure seamless onboarding.
  • Implement talent development programs, performance appraisals, and succession planning for critical roles.
  • Collaborate with HR and central talent teams to align recruitment with market demand and client projects.
  • Ideal Profile

  • Master’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT consulting, project management, or digital services, with proven experience leading teams and managing a profit center.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and grow multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial metrics, P&L management, and commercial strategy.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, business development, and contract negotiation.
  • Solid background in digital technologies (Cloud, Data, Cybersecurity, Software) and digital transformation trends.
  • Fluent in both French and English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus.
