Overview :

NFSC – NIAGARA FC OPDL is seeking an exceptional and dedicated High-Level Competitive Soccer Coach to lead and elevate out elite teams. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of our players and driving success on and off the field. This role involves providing leadership, planning, fostering development and a culture of excellence for a NIAGARA FC OPDL team. In addition to these responsibilities, administrative duties will also be expected.

Reporting to : Director of High Performance / Technical Lead and Executive Director of OPDL

Time Required : Part time

Location : Niagara Falls Soccer Club, Welland Young’s Sportsplex and various fields across Ontario within the OPDL Eastern playing loop.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Plan and deliver age appropriate Technical and Tactical Coaching program (3 training sessions per week, and 1 - 2 games per week during the season)
• Coach and travel with the team to all competitions.
• Establish a periodized session plan aligned with the Technical Direction of the Club and keeping with OPDL requirements.
• Provide direction and leadership for all staff Coaches and players.
• Be a positive and exemplary role model / representative for the players and the Club.
• Be responsible for the safety and well being of all players under your care.
• Be responsible for the behaviour of your bench staff, players, and parents at all events / games.
• Prepare player evaluations as requested by Ontario Soccer (2 per season)
• Conduct Individual Development Plan Player Meetings (3 per season)
• Utilize coaching resources and software (ACS) to plan and manage training sessions and game play.
• Keep Coaching courses up to date, if necessary, attend mandatory OPDL / Ontario Soccer / Canada Soccer webinars and all Club Coach meetings.
• Participate in all OPDL related events.
• Promote and support, and have a positive attitude towards the NFSC – NIAGARA FC Brand
• Have knowledge of, support, positive attitude towards, and promote Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development, commitment to holistic player development, Ontario Soccer and the OPDL program.
