Wood is seeking an expression of interest for a Senior Electrical Engineering opportunity in Sarnia, ON to join our busy and growing Oil & Gas Canada team. This role is hybrid, offering a mixture of on‑site and remote work.

Responsibilities
Carry out duties and responsibilities assigned by the lead electrical engineer.Apply thorough knowledge of engineering techniques, system design, design calculations and project scope.Plan, schedule, estimate and control costs for engineering work.Perform engineering and design duties associated with project scope, liaising with other disciplines.Provide quality control of all deliverables within electrical engineering scope.Act as discipline focal point as required.Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, regulations and procedures.Review, check and approve work output of assigned personnel.Assist the lead engineer and others when requested.Execute engineering and design activities (Concept, Front End Engineering Development, Technical Study & Detailed Design).Prepare and / or review electrical single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams and schematics, load lists, equipment lists, cable schedules and other deliverables.Perform engineering for procurement activities including MRQ / MRP development and vendor drawing approvals.Develop Construction Work Package, including project description, construction specifications, IFC drawings and material lists.Apply plant constructability knowledge to construction methods and materials.Provide construction support as required.Qualifications – Expected
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Registered member of PEO or other Canadian engineering association.Minimum 10 to 15 years of experience.Electrical design experience.Strong teamwork, analytical and problem‑solving skills.Proficient written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Proficient in high, medium, and low voltage power distribution design.Familiar with electrical safety and code compliance requirements.Desirable
Experience with ETAP or other design software tools.Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.
