      Safe Software is looking for an FME Form Technical Support Specialist (Level 1) to provide unparalleled support and continue to build upon Safe’s legacy of excellent customer service. As a Technical Support Specialist, your focus will be to share our collective knowledge with our customers. This isn’t your typical technical support role. You’ll provide top-notch support, conduct product demonstrations, create training content, and keep up with the latest technologies and trends.

      About The Team

      Our Customer Success team consists of a group of Technical Support Specialists who work directly with our customers to maximize the value of their data with FME. You’ll work closely with fellow team members to help users address the challenges they face, and provide support, knowledge content, product demonstrations and proof of concepts that showcase the power of FME.

      What You’ll Be Doing

      As an FME Form Technical Support Specialist (Level 1), you will :

    • Go above and beyond for our customers to help resolve their support cases
    • Share your knowledge with FME users by contributing to our FME Community Q&A Forums and Knowledge Base on the FME Support Center
    • Collaborate across teams to deliver effective product demos and proof-of-concepts
    • Deliver webinars that highlight FME’s amazing capabilities
    • Help improve the FME Platform by collaborating with our Product Managers and our customers
    • Test and explore new features of FME in beta stages
    • Attend and present at local trade shows, events, and (on occasion) international conferences
    • Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

      Safers come from a variety of backgrounds with a diversity in skills and knowledge. That said, we find that those who are most successful in this role have experience with the following areas.

      Required skills :

    • Technical skills : Experience working with a broad range of data formats (i.e. GIS, CAD, databases, raster, JSON, XML, REST APIs / web / cloud services)Knowledge of common data challenges, such as schema management, validation, and filteringExperience with ETL processes, and / or developing data integration workflows
    • Effective communication skills to articulate technical information in accessible language
    • Empathetic and customer-centric
    • Curious and eager to learn new technologies, systems and data formats that FME supports
    • Able to think critically and propose solutions to complex problems
    • Able to collaborate effectively and exchange meaningful feedback
    • Desired skills / Bonus points :

    • 1-2 years of previous experience working in technical support, technology consulting or relevant industry experience
    • Previous experience using FME Form and / or FME Flow
    • Significant consideration will be given to candidates familiar with CAD / BIM datasets and applications (such as AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, Revit, Indoor Mapping)
    • Experience with GIS products (Esri ArcGIS, MapInfo, GeoMedia, GE Smallworld)
    • Experience working with or administering databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, DuckDB)
    • Experience with 3D technology (Cesium, I3S, CityGML)
    • Experience working with web services, applications and APIs (Amazon, Azure, MS Graph, AGOL, ArcGIS Portal,Cityworks and other asset management systems, content management systems)
    • Exposure to programming and scripting languages (Python, JSON, SQL, XML)
    • Experience writing or presenting technical content to a wide audience
    • Ability to speak a second language
