Job Title : Forklift Operator

Job Description

Join our clients dynamic team as a Forklift Operator, starting in the warehousing section of the dock.

You will spend approximately 95% of your time operating a forklift and 5% hand bombing freight.

Your role involves reading printed manifests to strip and load trailers

Responsibilities

• Operate a Sit-down Counterbalance Forklift
• Handle a variety of products, ensuring careful loading and unloading to prevent damage.
• Read and interpret printed manifests to strip and load trailers efficiently.
• Perform tasks with a focus on safety
• Communicate effectively with the team and drivers, reading BOLs and transcripts accurately.
• Take ownership of mistakes and rectify them immediately to maintain a smooth logistics flow.

Work Environment

This role involves an initial shift in the warehouse from Monday to Friday, 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm.

Located in the Northwest region of Edmonton, the work environment is fast-paced and requires meticulous attention to detail.

The dress code requires steel-toed boots (provided by the candidate), while safety vests are provided and gloves are recommended.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edmonton, Alberta.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00 / hr.
