Location :  Various locations across Alberta

As an Intellectual Property (IP) Lawyer, you will advise clients on protecting their intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. You will manage IP portfolios, handle IP disputes, and work on transactions involving intellectual property assets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Advise clients on the protection, management, and enforcement of intellectual property rights.
  • Draft and file patent, trademark, and copyright applications.
  • Conduct IP due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and other transactions.
  • Represent clients in IP litigation and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement IP strategies that align with business goals.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing with the provincial Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Strong understanding of patent, trademark, and copyright law.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
