Job description

Are you an experienced logistics professional with a strong background in inventory management, supply chain coordination, and procurement? Our client is seeking a Shipper / Receiver / Inventory Coordinator to oversee warehouse operations, purchasing, and logistics in Hanover, ON. This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual who can work independently, manage inventory efficiently, and operate a forklift in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage purchase orders, vendor communications, and stock levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound shipments, verify deliveries, and address any discrepancies with vendors
  • Prepare and distribute inventory to various company locations, ensuring business needs are met.
  • Maintain an electronic inventory database and ensure proper labeling for reference.
  • Handle product returns, documentation, and follow-up for repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and report findings to management.
  • Coordinate the disposal of obsolete or damaged inventory, reporting write-offs monthly.
  • Refurbish returned customer equipment, including cleaning, updating firmware, and e-wasting unusable items.
  • Lead the annual physical inventory count process, ensuring accurate input and reporting.
  • Continuously analyze and improve inventory processes for increased efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills :

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Experience in materials procurement and inventory management in manufacturing or industrial settings is required
  • Forklift certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Excel, good multi-tasking, and priority management skills.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Involves receiving, shipping, and organizing inventory.
  • Operation of a forklift.
  • Physical demands include prolonged standing, walking, and manual handling of goods up to 50 lbs.
  • Tasks may require bending, squatting, stooping, climbing ladders, and scaffolding.
  • Mental Demands :

  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Potential for increased stress levels.
  • Pay Rate : $23-$27 / hr – depending on experience
