To meet our growth challenges, WSP is seeking an Intermediate Process Engineer to join our teams located in our offices in Alberta, Ontario and Atlantic . As an Intermediate Process Engineer , you will begin to plan and complete work without supervision and include checking calculations and aiding in training of more junior engineers. You will be part of our growing team, using your skills as an Engineer to design facilities across Canada and globally. Responsibilities
Conduct process simulations using appropriate software to optimize system performance and efficiencyDetermine appropriate sizes for equipment based on process requirements and prepare data sheets detailing specificationsPerform calculations to determine optimal sizes for process lines, considering flow rate, pressure drop, and temperaturePrepare data sheets for instruments used in the process, including specifications, operating conditions, and maintenance requirementsDevelop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and markup Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) to reflect process changesConduct studies to understand and improve the process, analyze data, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutionsParticipate in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) studies to identify and mitigate hazardsReview vendor drawings to ensure they meet process requirementsSupport larger projects and assist Area Lead by completing tasks and potentially leading smaller projects or alliance supportQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as a process engineer, ideally with gas processing plant experienceP.Eng licensed with APEGAStrong teamwork, communication, and report writing skillsOrganized with a focus on quality, schedule, and budgetAbout Us
