Position Summary
BCIT’s School of Business and Media is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.66 FTE) Faculty memberto teach in the marketing management diploma and provide related service teaching to other diplomas in the School in our digital marketing and related courses.
Courses are taught on weekdays, between 8 : 30 am and 5 : 30 pm, in person and on campus in Burnaby, from September to May. Courses may include :
The hiring committee is seeking an industry expert with a passion for teaching and learning and strong commitment to ensuring students develop applied skills and specialized knowledge. Duties & Responsibilities Applicants should have 8+ years of experience in digital marketing including success developing and deploying online marketing strategies; and building owned, earned, and paid media campaigns for acquisition, conversion, retention, and growth objectives, both for consumer and B2B audiences. Experience across digital marketing tactics, including SEO, paid search, display advertising, and social media marketing is required. They should also have a strong foundation in consumer behaviour and experience with customer-centric marketing, from market segmentation through developing customer insights, customer journey maps, data- and empathy-driven user personas, as well as a proven track record of deploying these insights in successful tactical marketing communications campaigns.
The right candidate will demonstrate strong self-direction and leadership, the ability to adapt to new working environments quickly and self-sufficiently, and a commitment to the next generation of marketers (as evidenced by mentoring or similar experience). They will also have experience in coaching, teaching, or managing teams on projects related to marketing strategy development and execution. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS :
