Posting DOT25074 Division Leadership Position – Vice PrincipalInitial Assignment : Walter & Gladys Hill Public SchoolProbationary 2024-2025 school year(Administration and Instruction) Location Division OfficeFTE 1.0Start Date August 20, 2024Closing Date Open until Filled JOB QUALIFICATIONS : The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience : Demonstrated leadership at the school or division level. Experience working with Indigenous and other diverse cultural groups. Evidence of a student centered philosophy. An ability and commitment to work as a member of a team in a collaborative work environment. Demonstrated knowledge of inclusive classrooms. Demonstrated knowledge of effective assessment practices. Involvement in community events / volunteerism. Knowledge and experience in Special Education. Strong technology skills including PowerSchool familiarity. Commitment to community partnerships. An ability to establish productive relationships with parents. A commitment to assessment for learning. A commitment to continuous professional growth. Strong communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills. Successful teaching experience with a focus on results. Related post-graduate studies preferred, completed or working on a Master’s degree. Knowledge of the Teacher Quality Standard and the Leadership Quality Standard and demonstrated adherence to both standards.
