You will work directly with developers to help them design testing solutions and test their own code and applications. You will observe testing efficacy and quality of coverage, code and delivery, and, where necessary, help make improvements by researching, promoting and implementing industry leading test practices.Your responsibilities:Participate in team planning and story groomingProvide training, mentorship and support to developers and other members on the teamProvide suggestions to improve quality, coverage, test automation, and test processesOversee, consult and participate in test planning, execution, issue identification and resolution, and results reporting in support of the releaseConduct code reviews, and help improve and maintain quality of the application and testing codeContribute to active testing and the design, development and maintenance of test automation frameworks, infrastructure and toolsEnsure that automation frameworks, tools and infrastructure are documentedAbout you:Minimum 3 years of work experience in a dedicated testing roleDynamic personality that can explore, learn fast, chart a course and act quicklyFast learner, good communicator and collaboratorStrong understanding of testing practices and quality processes in an agile environmentStrong understanding of structured programming languages such as Java or PythonExperience with testing frameworks such as Junit or PytestExperience with any of the following is an asset:Testing machine learning algorithms, large language models, and AI applicationsTesting backend systems in-code with mocksTesting vector databasesTesting performance with Gatling, Locust or similar toolsGenerating and optimizing test dataAutomating testing in Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins or BambooCompensation:Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbia's pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise, skills, education, and professional background.The range below reflects the expected annual base salary, which is only one element of our comprehensive total rewards package designed to reflect our company pay philosophy, culture and values.
