Spark Power, a trusted partner in energy in North America, we are looking for a Plumber to work out of our Hamilton location. This role will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems. The successful applicant will be part of a team to maintain and develop an enterprise application suite that aligns with the organizations’ strategic objectives. Responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

What will you do as the Plumber

• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance on plumbing systems to ensure their proper functioning. This includes identifying and repairing leaks, clogs, and other issues in a timely manner to prevent downtime and minimize disruptions to operations.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting plumbing problems and performing necessary repairs or replacements of damaged components. This may involve repairing or replacing valves, faucets, pipes, and other plumbing fixtures.
• Performs general preventive maintenance of buildings, industrial systems and equipment including pumps and various plumbing fixtures.
• Conducting pressure tests and leak tests to ensure the integrity and safety of plumbing systems. This includes verifying that systems meet regulatory standards and building codes.
• Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities. This may involve documenting inspections, repairs, parts used, and other relevant information.
• Adhering to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. This includes wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines when working with hazardous materials or in confined spaces.
• Overseeing contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
• Diagnosing mechanical and plumbing issues and correcting them.
• Repairing machines and equipment as necessary.
• Duties as otherwise assigned

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we’re looking for

• Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship program or vocational training in plumbing.
  
• Relevant experience working as a plumber in an industrial setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of industrial plumbing systems, materials, and tools.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Required to work in industrial and outdoor environments. Services will be performed within Health and Safety standards and regulations.
• Physical requirements will range from frequent to occasional lifting, carrying, bending and reaching. The ability to work in various environmental conditions, including tight spaces and heights.
• Shift work may be required.
• Must be able to lift 34kg (75lb)
