PRIMARY FOCUS : The Security & Operations Control Centre Coordinator is responsible for coordinating field security and operations activities while monitoring CCTV, fire, and life safety systems. This role serves as the primary point of contact between site management, contracted security personnel, tenants, and the public, ensuring effective communication and response to incidents and service requests.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Dispatch and coordinate security and operations personnelusing two-way communication systems
- Monitor CCTV, alarms, and fire / life safety systems
- Coordinate response to incidents and emergencies, including contacting emergency services
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of security and operational activities
- Review CCTV footage as required for investigations and follow-up
- Respond to incoming security-related calls and inquiries
- Assist tenants and the public with lost and found, access, and general security matters
- Coordinate contractor access, ID issuance, and safety compliance
COORDINATION RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide verbal or written direction, or both, (as authorized) to the Contractor’s Personnel and where appropriate, the Manager’s operations personnel in respect to the following :
Coordinating the field activities of security personnel, including issuing patrol duties, assigning calls for service, allocating breaks and dispatching personnel as required;Coordinating the activities of security, operations and other site personnel during security- and safety-related incidents via CCTV (if applicable) and two-way communication devices;Coordinating security and operations personnel activities in response to actual or potential emergency incidents as per the guidelines set out in the Manager’s Standard Operating Procedures; andControls access to the security office and control center area at the PropertyTECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Working knowledge of Windows-based computing systems and Google docs;Proficiency in typing in a timely and accurate manner;Basic knowledge of building systems (i.e. HVAC, sprinklers, mechanical systems, etc.); andFamiliarity with fire / life safety equipment / systems.INTERPERSONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS :
Strong customer service and communication skillsAbility to make sound decisions under pressureFamiliarity with fire alarm and life safety systemsWorking knowledge of Windows-based systems and Google DocsStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesPrerequisites :
