Veterans Care Program – Parkwood Institute Main, London, ON
Employment : Temporary Full Time
Salary Range : $63.76 – $75.00 / hour
Temporary position anticipated to extend until December 31, 2027, and is subject to the availability of work.
The Veterans Care Program provides long‑term and complex continuing care to Canadian Veterans. As the Clinical Manager, you will be accountable for the operational needs, resource management, and clinical coordination of interdisciplinary care provided on in‑patient units. An established professional, you will act as a coach, facilitator, teacher, and provide leadership to engage and support continuous development of the team. You possess highly developed leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and are known as an innovator, enabler, and system thinker. Guided by our mission, vision and values, we rely on your change management, consensus building and conflict resolution skills as you ensure the service needs of our Veterans and families.
Essential Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing or an allied health profession
- Valid registration with an associated professional College
- Knowledge of a safety culture in a health care setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
- Demonstrated leadership skills including team development, change management, staff engagement and conflict management
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving with exceptional facilitation and coaching skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a wide range of professionals
- Ability to promote the values of shared leadership and interdisciplinary team collaboration
- In addition, the successful candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities including : lead self, engage others, achieve results, develop coalition, system transformation
- Experience in dementia care and management of responsive behaviours
Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in French would be an assetExperience in quality improvement and program development and evaluationExperience in staffing / scheduling and managing labour relations issues in a unionised environmentExperience in mental health, dementia care, complex continuing care, geriatric populationExperience in project management and change projectsTeaching and Research
